A CMS is a Content Management System. Back along, web designers made static sites where the information on the pages was fixed. If you wanted to change something on your site you had to ask the web designer to go into the code to make the change. There are sill a lot of static sites on the web but now many websites are made using Content Management Systems. A CMS enables you to manage a website’s content without having to touch the code in which the website was built. This makes it possible for the client to manage the content of the site.
So how does this work at Magic Bean? Well, first we make you a lovely website. We can then manage the site for you, if you want. But you also get a login, and tutorials, so you too can upload, amend or remove page contents. You don’t have to deal with code, and you don’t have to ask us every time you want to change the content (unless you want to of course).
